A recent study conducted by the University of Colorado suggests that in some instances women who’s diet includes certain types of foods including fish that are rich in omega 3 fatty acids may have an increased chance of pregnancy.
Many associations have been made between omega 3 fatty acids and better health, however this study shows that there could be some positive links between these omega 3’s and fertility.
Fish such as fresh tuna, trout, and salmon as well as foods such as spinach, parsley and kale are known to contain omega 3 fatty acids.
Although this news is promising, women seeking fertility treatment such as IVF or IUI, should consult their fertility doctor prior to making any drastic changes to their overall lifestyle and diet.
